In cooperation with industry representatives, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Bundesnetzagentur and the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung organized the “Deutsche Marktüberwachungskonferenz” (German Conference on Market Observation). The event focused on new aspects of the Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 on Market Surveillance and their impact on e-commerce, the future responsibilities of fulfillment providers and the implementation for different product areas. As the speakers and participants pointed out, the supervision of internet content is a real challenge, as the system prerequisites are yet to be established. Consline CEO Dr. Heinz van Deelen referred to the already established and transferable methods of active product observation on the Internet and discussed potentials for cooperation.

Product safety experts from OEMs like Aston Martin or Volvo and suppliers met at the 2nd Annual Safety Summit in Düsseldorf.

The participants from 14 countries discussed numerous topics like functional safety, Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) and software security in connected cars.

At the 3. Deutsch-chinesische Automobilkongress in Ingolstadt, 350 guests from China and Germany met the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, the Director of the Investment Promotion Agency of MOFCOM China and representants of the Bavarian Government.

The annual Warranty Chain Management Conference in Orlando, Florida brings together experts and executives in warranty management. The event focuses on new ideas, methods and tools for quality management but the organizers also intent to further strengthen warranty management as a discipline. Consline CEO Dr. Heinz van Deelen highlighted in his presentation how a precise monitoring of customer opinions can lower warranty and quality cost as well as support goodwill decisions.
